FirstRand International Postgraduate Scholarship

FIRSTRAND IE SCHOOL OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY SCHOLARSHIP FOR A MASTERS IN BUSINESS ANALYTICS AND BIG DATA OR A MASTER IN COMPUTER AND BUSINESS TECHNOLOGY

FirstRand Empowerment Foundation (FREF) has entered into a five-year partnership with the IE University and the IE Foundation in Madrid. The purpose of this partnership to enable one outstanding South African student per year to undertake postgraduate study at the School of Science and Technology towards either a Masters in Business Analytics and Big Data or a Masters in Computer and Business Technology.

Monday, 20 October 2025 and close on Thursday, 19 February 2026.

The scholarship will provide full funding for one student a year to study for an MSc at the School of Science and Technology at the IE University in Madrid.

FirstRand will conduct the interview process, and both FirstRand and IE will conduct the selection process, which will run concurrently with the FirstRand international postgraduate scholarship programme. Candidates will be assessed based on academic excellence, leadership ability, community involvement and their potential to be a destiny changer. Candidates have to apply and be accepted for an Masters in Business Analytics and Big Data or a Masters in Computer and Business Technology at the IE School of Science and Technology (IE University).

Apply to IE University before 19 February 2026 and receive an offer to study at IE University by no later than 7 April 2026.
